Who Are We?
Mission at the Eastward cooperates as a parish of congregations and ministries located in West Central Maine bound together in Christ to witness and work by reaching out both locally and globally to individuals, congregations and communities by creating a place where God�s gifts and graces are multiplied and exemplified.
Mission at the Eastward is a cooperative parish of eight churches:
- Fairbanks Union Church
- Wales Presbyterian Church
- Hartford Community Church
- Leeds Community Church
- North New Portland Community Church
- New Portland Community Church
- North Turner Union Presbyterian Church
- United in Christ Presbyterian Church, Starks
We work together to ensure that the most rural churches can function, and that we can do ministry that we otherwise could never do alone.
In addition to the churches, MATE has five ministries that are shared ministries throughout the parish, they are:
